Middle School Social Hour
For kids in 5th – 8th Grade
Mondays 4:00 – 5:00 pm
This engaging class is designed to help middle school students build confidence and competence in social situations. Co-led by a licensed speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist, the group focuses on developing essential social communication and self-regulation skills in a fun, structured environment.
Each session includes interactive activities that target:
- Reading social cues and understanding body language
- Initiating and maintaining conversations
- Perspective-taking and empathy
- Managing emotions and practicing flexibility
- Working cooperatively in groups
Our collaborative approach ensures that both communication and sensory/self-regulation needs are addressed, supporting each child’s unique strengths and challenges. This is a great opportunity for students to make friends, grow socially, and build the tools they need to thrive in both school and everyday life.
